From a young age, Dannette felt a calling to the medical field, driven by a deep desire to help others. Starting her journey as a phlebotomist, she soon transitioned to working as an assistant to a local doctor, immersing herself in patient care and medical support. However, her personal struggles with weight after the birth of her children led her to a transformative realization – it was time for a change.
Determined to improve her health, Dannette embraced exercise and healthier choices, ultimately shedding 85 pounds. This profound change not only transformed her physically but also ignited a passion within her. She knew she wanted to help others achieve their own wellness goals and decided to become a personal trainer.
Opening her own fitness facility, Dannette dedicated herself to working with a diverse range of individuals, from athletes to corporate wellness participants, and those battling weight issues. She developed specialized programs for individuals facing cardiac and respiratory challenges, using her expertise to make a tangible difference in their lives.
Dannette's personal journey is marked by deep loss and resilience. At just 28 years old, she lost her mother to cancer, witnessing the debilitating side effects of treatment firsthand. This experience fueled her commitment to creating programs for those facing similar struggles, focusing on strength, balance, and overall well-being.
In 2022, another diagnosis struck close to home when her husband was diagnosed with throat cancer. The grueling treatments and their lingering effects only deepened Dannette's resolve. She sought out the Cancer Exercise Training Institute and earned her certification as a Cancer Fitness Specialist, determined to support others through their own cancer journeys.
